This morning I had the pleasure of meet with Lisa Riley, the owner of Pinot’s Palette on Cherry Street. Pinot’s is a paint and sip studio that offers painting parties where guests can take a two- or three-hour painting classes taught by local artists. During the class guests can enjoying wine and other drinks, and they can even bring their own food for the evening (maybe combine the class with food for a dinner date)! At the end of the class guests walk away with memories of a fun night out and a 16-inch by 20-inch acrylic painting on stretched canvas.
The studio was so bright and cheerful and I’m told that during class they play loud rock music to create a fun and creative atmosphere. They have breaks throughout the class to let the paint dry, which is a great time to get a drink at the bar, browse everyone else’s paintings and mingle with the other guests.

I am deeming this place date night material because it’s a fun activity you can enjoy with anyone, including a first date! While painting, you’ll be surprised by how easy it is to come up with stuff to talk about and you will have time to think of something new to talk about while you are painting, which eliminates any awkward silence (“Don’t mind the silence I’m just really into my art!”).
Lisa says that Pinot’s Palette is “a great date night place because there is an activity to keep good dialogue.”
